I woke up to a sheep lying in my yard this morning.  It would not be so strange if we didn't live in a CITY, on a GOLF COURSE.  Strange things happen to me.  I'm a magnet for "wierd."
Just thought I'd share (notice the golf course maintenance crew in the background, working away behind Mr. Sheep!)...

Everything Princesses!

Mommy's little princess needs a little something special too...

I was THRILLED to receive two princess dresses to review from Everything Princesses!  My two tiniest princesses LOVE dressing up, and I LOVE seeing them in beautiful dresses.
BUT, dress up clothes are usually so cheaply made, they fall apart after only a couple of play dates.

I am thrilled with the quality of the dresses we got from Everything Princesses!  The girls have worn them countless times already, and they are still in wonderful shape!  They have amazing detail, and make the girls feel like real princesses!

We were given the Deluxe Repunzel Princess Dresses to review!
Here are some pictures of my girls in them!

These dresses are lined with such soft material- they are actually comfy (not scratchy and miserable!) to wear!

Look at the gorgeous detail in these dresses!

There are even tiny bows sewn to the skirt of the dress!

Take a look at some of the other dresses Everything Princesses offers!
The Garden Maiden Rose Dress is my FAVORITE!!!

Isn't it beautiful??
They also have great shoes...

And the ever-important white gloves!!

Please visit http://www.everything-princesses.com/ and check out their full product list!  They sell everything from dresses to backpacks to stationary to crafts to kitchen items!  If you are looking for something "princessy," this is the place for you!!

Easy Lunchboxes!

Easy LunchBoxes has made the tedious task of packing lunches fast, easy, environmentally friendly, and convenient!

My kids and I like to homeschool at parks, in the car, and on-the-go.  I am often found packing lunches for them to bring along.  And now that my oldest two children are getting bigger, they often help to pack the lunches.  In the past, as we were preparing lunches, you would find massive amounts of plastic storage baggies, paper bags, coolers, and tupperware scattered throughout my kitchen.

Now, all we need is our "Easy LunchBoxes" set.

Easy LunchBoxes offers compartmentalized food containers that are made of non-toxic, food-safe, polypropylene (PP or plastic #5). These are the top-choice safe food containers if you’re looking for BPA-free lunch boxes, phthalate-free lunch boxes and non-toxic lunch boxes.  They're also safe for the refrigerator, freezer, microwave, & dishwasher!  They have met strict FDA requirements!
They are much more rigid than Tupperware, and WILL NOT squish your sandwich!

One package has 4 bottom pieces and 4 top pieces.  Each pieces has two small sections, and one large section.  There are many options as to how you can pack a lunch in these!
These great containers fit perfectly into their Lunch Bag Coolers!

EasyLunchBoxes.com has some great ideas of how to pack lunches into their products HERE!

Also, be sure to watch this video!

Would you LOVE to win your own Easy Lunchboxes set, just in time for MOTHER'S DAY??
You'll be packing lunches in seconds!!!

Zip It Opener!

You know how you come home from a store, all excited about the newest product you bought, only to battle with the packaging for EVER before you can get the shiny new product out???

That really makes me crazy.  And I am always cutting myself on that hard plastic packaging.
We have even destroyed our new purchase in the past, trying to break into the packaging that surrounded it!

Thankfully, the kind folks at Zip-It Opener have created a solution to this problem!
Meet the Zip-It Opener!

The Zip-It Opener was created by Steve Fisher, who saw the need to a solution to this problem.  He would make trips to visit his mother, only to find a towering stack of bubble packs waiting to be opened.
These bubble packs aren't just impossible for Seniors and Children to open, they are a nightmare!
But with the Zip-It Opener... believe it or not... they are ENJOYABLE to open!

The Zip-It Opener works much like an electric can opener.  It requires two AA batteries, and the push of your finger on the trigger to make it start.  Then, you simply guide the Zip-It Opener along the side of the packaging, until it is open!

Watch this demonstration video!

You can BUY a Zip-It Opener HERE for only $19.95!

Tazzini Stainless Steel Reusable Bottle!

Make the switch to reusable bottles, just in time for Earth Day!
Today, I am reviewing the Tazzini Bottle by The Soft Landing!

"The Soft Landing Store is the first of its kind, offering over 45 brands of 100% BPA, PVC and Phthalate-free products in one convenient place. Our goal is to take the headache out of making the switch to safer eating gear for busy parents."

As a mother to 4 great kiddos, I can really appreciate a company who is in the business of child safety.  The Soft Landing is one of those companies.  Their company is in existance because of years of research and devopment, with a goal of ridding childhood utensils, bottles, and toys of harmful BPA.

In case you aren't aware of the harmful effects of BPA, read THIS.

The Soft Landing sent me their Tazzini Bottle to review!

I love this product so much!  My son and I actually argue over which one of us gets to use it.  :)
It is perfect for him to take to karate in his bag, because it DOES NOT LEAK.  Not even when it is jossled around with all his other karate equipment.

The thing I love most about the Tazzini bottle is the unique way it closes.  It is a semi-twist top, which ensures a very tight close.  It also has a great fit for your lips when you're driking from it- unlike store bought strangely shaped plastic ones.

It has a very wide top, which makes it very easy to get down inside it to clean it out.  The design on the outside of this bottle is gorgeous.  The colors are striking, and the print on the outside of the bottle is one of the US map.

Some informaiton about the Tazzini Bottle from The Soft Landing website:
BPA, PVC and Phthalate free

Tazzini reusable bottles offer a great alternative to plastic and lined metal containers. We created our patent-pending design with health, convenience, and the environment in mind. Our bottles and caps are made from the highest quality food and beverage safe materials, yet they are eco-friendly and 100% recyclable at the end of their useful life.

Features:

  • BPA-free / non-leaching cap
  • Premium food/beverage grade 304 18/8 stainless steel
  • Leak-proof
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to clean
  • Durable yet lightweight
  • Non-reactive to acidic beverages
  • Wide-mouth bottle for ease in cleaning, adding ice and/or mixes
  • Dishwasher safe bottle (we recommend hand-washing lid)
  • Slim design and loop on lid for easy carrying
  • Fits most cupholders and backpack pockets

The Soft Landing website has so many great products!  Their product list includes:

Baby Bottles & Sippy Cups, Baby Dishes & Utensils, Bibs, Mats & High Chairs, Pacifiers, Teethers & Toothbrushes, Bath & Play Toys, Kids Lunches, Kids Cups & Dishes, Adult Bottles, Dishes & Lunch Gear, Skincare, Health & Special Needs, Pet Gear, and Books!

Quite a list, huh??

The Soft Landing is offering one lucky reader of Mingle Over Mocha a Tazzini Bottle of their own!

Xtrema Cookware!

Mother's Day Madness- Day 2!

I'm Anna-proofing my home.  You see, I'm unbelievably hard on things (and on people, according to my husband...).  I break things.  I don't try to, of course.  But it just happens.  And so in order to Anna-proof my home, I must buy only the most durable, longest-lasting, toughest items on the market.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Xtrema Cookware.
It is THE ONLY cookware I will buy from now on.
In fact, my husband is talking of getting me the full set for Mother's Day!  :)
(full set is pictured below)

You can purchase the full set HERE for just $399!

I was given the 10" skillet (retails for $99) to review.  I have to say, I was skeptical.  I am especially hard on dishes, cookware, coffee mugs, and (more recently, I have broken...) blenders.
This is the 10" skillet I was given to test...

First Impressions:
WOW.  It's beautiful!  There are no lines, no circles inside the pan, no metalic pieces... just gorgeous, polished black.  It is very heavy and sturdy feeling, and the handle is curved well to fit in your hand.

Initial Thoughts:
I was a little concerned that the handle would get very hot while cooking (since it is not rubber), and that the pan would scratch.  Read on to see why these were unfounded concerns!

The Test:
I decided to cook frozen chicken and spinich in a garlic butter sauce.
When I cook this in my Calphalon pans, it all sticks.  And is nearly impossible to get out.
Here is a photo of our dinner cooking... the pan heated up INSTANTLY!!!

Much to my surprise (and I actually have no idea why...), the liquid stayed in the pan.  This was the juiciest chicken I've ever cooked.  Normally when I make this dish, the chicken sticks, because it gets quickly dried out.

A little more of a test...
Since the chicken was super moist and didn't stick, I decided I'd leave the pan sitting, unwashed, overnight!  With not even a drop of water in the pan!  I know, it's a cardinal sin in the kitchen... but I really wanted to put this cookware to the test!!
What I woke up to the next morning (my unwashed pan after sitting overnight)...

The result of my experiment, after about 30 seconds of washing...
JUST LIKE NEW!!!

Ted Dekker's GREEN

If you have ever read a book by Ted Dekker, you know that he is the master of suspense!

I have never read a book by him that didn't captivate me.
Most recently, I was given Green to review by BookSneeze.
Green is the fourth book, called "book 0" in the Circle Trilogy.  It was meant to complete the circle.  The series is said to have no beginning, and no end.

Although it is meant for a reader to be able to read Green without having read any of the other books, I found myself a bit confused upon reading it first.

The series of the books go as such:
Black, Red, White and Green

Despite my early confusion, I found Green to be a great read!
In the story, Earth was destroyed by an apocalypse.  But a couple thousand years into the future, Elyon recreated an Adam.  Good and Evil are not as we know them today.  People are able to see things that are currently unseen.
The story takes place in two different worlds, and involves time travel, as well.  A little bit of everything, and a little something for everyone!

I highly recommend this series.  It is a series that you will not put down until it is finished!

If you plan to start this series, I would recommend reading the first three books, then reading Green afterwards.

Zehn Naturals T-Shirts!

As a stay at home mom of 4 active kiddos, you will usually find me in comfy yoga pants, tennis shoes and a t-shirt.  But, I have to say, I'm a bit of a t-shirt snob, if there is such thing.

I can not wear stiff t-shirts.  They make me insane.  I have to have room to move, and I like them to feel like they aren't really even there.  We have too much to do during the day to be wearing a t-shirt that doesn't allow you to move, right moms??

Well, I have found the PERFECT solution to your t-shirt woes.

Zehn Naturals has some of the comfiest t-shirts I have EVER worn!  Their women's t-shirt designs are adorable, and there is certainly something for everyone with their wide selection!

I was given these two t-shirts for my review:
(How adorable are the owls??)
and...
I am a sucker for pink and brown.  I love the color combo!

Zehn Naturals t-shirts are made with 100% certified organic cotton!
From the Zehn Naturals website:
"What does “organic” mean?
“Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients (i.e. cotton) are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones.”(www.organic.com)"
So, there is no worry about what kinds of materials you might be exposing yourself to.  They also print their images with earth-friendly inks!
Zehn Naturals goes above and beyond selling amazing t-shirts with earth friendly, organic materials.  They also plant a tree every time one of their t-shirts are purchased!  AND, they give 10% of your purchase to non-profit organizations!!  Can you say that about any company you have done business with lately??

April is Help Earth Conservation Month!  10% Of All “Organic Globe Tee” sales in the month of April will be donated to a CSA Scholarship for Tracie’s Community Farm of Fitzwilliam, NH!  Click HERE for details.

Another thing I love about the Zehn Naturals t-shirts- the tag that comes on them!  The tags are made of seed paper, and you can plant them!  They contain wildflower seeds that attract and nurture endangered honey bees.

I am so impressed with how much this company is giving back!  I would love for all of my readers to support their efforts!  They are offering Mingle Over Mocha readers a discount to their store, with the code blog25!
